Tales from the Galaxy: The Golden Ticket

It began with a whisper and a wrapper.

Across the galaxy, strange parcels began arriving: shimmering sugar-foil envelopes sealed with swirls of caramel and dusted in stardust sprinkles. Inside was a single note, written in looping candy-pink script:

✨ “Greetings, sweet seekers!
I am Charlie Pots, Star Confectioner and founder of Candylar, and inventor of the Great Gummy Wyrm.

I hereby invite you to Candylar for a once-in-a-lifetime hunt. Hidden somewhere in the our cinnamon rolling hills lies a single, shimmering Golden Ticket. The first to find it will earn a prize of... well, let’s just say it’s deliciously powerful.

But be warned: Candylar is not all gumdrops and giggles. The Rock Candy Mountains are jagged and sharp, the Licorice Forest are home to the Cookie Golem, and not everyone cheers for the arrival of the Frosting Dragon.”

Word spread like powdered sugar in a solar wind. Within days, explorers, pirates, spellcasters, smugglers, chefs, and sugar-addicted scavengers were booking passage to Candylar. Even the gods came down from their lofty realms to search for the Golden Ticket.

Candylar, once a unknown curiosity of confectionery life, is now the center of a galactic fervor. The skies above it are sprinkled with ships, and its gingerbread cobbled streets hum with anticipation.

No one knows what the Golden Ticket unlocks.
No one knows if Charlie Pots is genius, some mad god, or marketing mastermind.

But one thing is certain:
The hunt has begun.
And in Candylar, only the sweetest survive.

Challenge Recap: Who’s the Haiku?

Last time, we sent you three riddles written as Haiku’s and asked you to guess who was who. Shoutout to Justini12 and Kuriomen for getting all 3 right in the Discord!

#1: Flopsy

On your left it grows,

 wingbeats scatter starlit dust,

 numbers bloom like dawn.

#2: Cowardly Lion

Uncommon resolve,

though his paws will never fight,

bravery must grow.

#3: Don Quixote

Tilting at the wind,

 rarest dreams revealed through hunt,

 legends ride with him.

Community Challenge #7: Patty Cake, Patty Cake!

Today’s challenge comes with a bit of a wrinkle, but also a reward! In celebration of Candylar, here is your mission (should you choose to accept it):

1.) Bake your favorite baked confectionary treat (Cookies, Cakes, Pies, Bread, Cinnamon Rolls, etc.).

2.) Take a picture of it

3.) Upload it to the Community-Challenge section of our Discord or tag us @playgalaxygame with #CandylarChallenge on Twitter, Bluesky or Instagram.

We will select a winner on Halloween and they will receive 1100 gems! We will also share your image and tasty creation in the next Newsletter.
